Australian Pleiades stamp with Space Shuttle Discovery

Another elaborate presentation with an unrelated Space Shuttle on it; this one from Australia, featuring the Pleiades (Seven Sisters), with a lovely shot of Space Shuttle Discovery launching on the first-day-of-issue card. (I’ll be the first to admit that a shuttle launch photo adds to just about anything it’s slapped on.)

Space Shuttle Orbiter Enterprise

A 1977 lunchbox (with thermos) by King Seely. Worth almost $200, according to one site!

The Alien Abduction Lamp™

The Alien Abduction Lamp™ is about the best thing I’ve seen all year. Personally, I prefer the Lamp with Bovine Abductee. It’s only in concept stage, and was all over the blogosphere last year; here’s hoping someone produces it!

Abduction is a lamp for Sci-Fi fans of all ages.

A light bulb inside the metal UFO lights up the beam and the windows. The glass of the beam is frosted to distribute light in all directions.

Nevis Apollo 12 stamps

(Where in the world is Nevis?) These stamps celebrate the 20th anniversary of Apollo 11… but are actually featuring Apollo 12? Very strange. I love the vertical stamps, unusual pictures on both.

Col. Ed McCauley, Space Explorer

…I seem to have lost the description of this lunch box. Therefore, I make up my own:

Representing the Air Force in space, Colonel Ed McCauley has a smart red ray pistol and a determined gaze. This dashing young redhead enjoys free-fall, tethered space walks, and defending Earth from outside forces.
